As long as you can pick up the article to be weighed with both hands and can thread the scale's straps through the handles, you're set. It beeps as soon as it gets a reading and you can put the article down. The weight will stay in the display until you clear it. The weights that were shown on the scale were exactly the same as the ones that were shown at the check-in counter at the airports. The only negative that I have is that the battery compartment cover should be redesigned. If you grip the scale a little bit to the side it will loosen.
