Some people are afraid of generic medications as they feel they do not work as well. My husband was taking Nexium which was costing $35 copay per month, we requested that he be changed to Prilosec OTC or omeprazole which is the generic equivalent. Guess what, he had the same success with the omeprazole as he did with the expensive, brand-name Nexium with no difference. I recommend generic medicines to everyone, it is the easiest way to save money.
