Customer Rating: Summary: Fun, but doesn't live up to the others Comment: fisrt of all, let me start by saying the Nancy Drew games are awesome. however, this game was a bit boring for me; not as exciting as the others. although there was some mystery, it didn't do a whole heck of a lot. in other words, it was good, but not great like the other ones. a bit too short, in my opinion.
Customer Rating: Summary: As usual another Her interactive success! Comment: I enjoy the fact that the Nancy Drew games appeal to all ages and sexes. I even got my older brother interested in them. I Play them with my grandchildren and it has been a real bonding experience, I am 54 years old and my grandchildren are 10 and 7. I also appreciate the fact that they are full of learning tools, not just fun and games. I enjoy the fact that they are based in different places around the world which gives you an incite to other places and people, my grandson even trys to copy the accents of the different characters. This one, based in Ireland is especially special to me because my ancesters came from Ireland. My great, great grandfather came to America on ship. I hope you continue to handle games of this nature and keep the violence, cussing, and sleeziness out of childplay. Children and Adults deserve wholesome and relaxing enjoyment. I am even thinking of trying the Hardy boys and Sherlock Holmes games you have in stock. Thank You. R Pitts
Customer Rating: Summary: Good for all ages. Comment: I'm 32 years old, and I really love the Nancy Drew games. I've been hooked on them from the first time I heard about them. I highly recommend this game to anyone.
Customer Rating: Summary: New favorite Comment: I've played all but 3 of the Nancy Drew games (Secretes, Old Clock and White Wolf). The Haunting of Castle Malloy is now my new favorite. It was formerly Train to Blue Moon Canyon.
I enjoyed the visuals (eerie night scene of an old Irish castle perched on the ocean next to a garden, a barn and a bog), the new map that allows you to actually walk around the proprety rather than just pointing and clicking on a new destination, the lack of tedious chores or repetitive mazes that is typical of previous games, the more interesting and brief dialog with other characters that doesn't bore you, the multitude of many different puzzles rather than a few large ones, and the general story line.
Normally, I am ready for a game to end, but this one had so many twists and turns that I was actually sad when it ended.
Castle Malloy is a bit like Curse at Blackmoor Manor in tone and manner, but less frustrating because you don't have to go up and down stairs ad nauseum.
Customer Rating: Summary: One of the Best Comment: I am a big Nancy Drew Mystery games fan. Some have been okay and others mediocre. This one is one of the best. The story line is interesting and being able to see Nancy is fun. Some of the puzzles were hard and I needed a walkthrough, but that is okay. I was glad not to have to make meals over and over again like on another recent game. That kind of thing really interrupts the flow of the game. This one went along smoothly and the puzzles were integral parts of the game. Looking forward to the next one which is supposed to include Bess and George
