Your cell phone is your "lifeline." It keeps you connected at work, on the road, even at home. And now, there's a better way to make and receive calls at home with ultimate comfort and convenience. Panasonic Link-to-Cell uses Bluetooth technology to connect your cell calls to your home handset extensions. No more running for your cell, walking around for good reception, or cradling that little phone on your shoulder. Better yet, you get to tap into your free cell minutes for talk time and you can charge your cell while using the home handsets. Now, that's convenience! How Does It Work? Just link any Bluetooth-enabled cell phone to your Link-to-Cell base unit and you're good to go. It's that easy. Set up takes only seconds, and you can link up to two phones at once. Talking Caller-ID lets you know who's calling and custom ring tones tell you which cell phone is ringing.

Customer Rating: Summary: great phone but drops calls for both land line and cell line Comment: Well...I thought I give it a try with this phone even after I read the bad reveiws. However they are true....this phone would be great but it drops calls on me all the time. Even land line calls were dropped. Customer service was no help. They sent me a replacement phone and the very first call I received dropped after about a minute of talking.
Well that was it...can't return it to Amazon now....but be careful with this phone. I do like the ability to answer cell and land with the same talk button. I have now upgraded to the vTech bluetooth....it is working but there are two separate answer buttons one for land and one for cell....not as convenient.
Customer Rating: Summary: Drops almost all of your calls - DO NOT BUY Comment: This is the most frustrating phone I have ever bought. Don't be conned by the assertion that it works. It does not. Some days, some times, maybe, but most of the time you can call someone then it hangs up on you and displays an error message that there is no link to the base station. This happens when you are sitting next to the base station. Less than three feet away.
I cannot believe that Amazon is still selling this piece of junk. Maybe that is why Jeff Bezos has such a strong laugh.
Buy a lottery ticket with your money, the odds are that you will be happier with that than with this phone.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's as bad as everyone says Comment: I also have no home phone, just two cell phones. I got tired of carrying my cell phone with me throughout the two-story house (and garage). The idea of this system is perfect - I can hear the ringers in various rooms, and can leave my cell in one place with the best cell coverage (and charging) while talking on the cordless phone.
I started out with a Palm Treo, but that had multiple issues. I was ready for a new phone anyway. I got an iPhone, which is listed on their compatibility list (the Palms aren't). But I have the 3G, which may or may not be compatible depending on how you interpret their list. Much better, but still issues.
Making calls worked great, and most of the time it wouldn't drop a call. BUT, I was only ever able to receive a call ONCE. Receiving calls would never work, and I started feeling bad for my friends and family who called. I would never answer calls on it, and ended up carrying my cell phone around the house with me anyway. My husband refused to use it.
Bottom line? I'm returning it, and I'm going to try the XLink Cell Bluetooth Gateway.
Customer Rating: Summary: DOES NOT WORK AS PROMISED! Comment: I have purchased two of these units for my home and a gift. The concept of what they are supposed to do would be great if they did it 100% of the time. The phones keep droping calls both on the land line as well as on the cell line.
Otherwise, when these phones are working right, they are great with many additional added features. I wrote Panasonic about a fix for this problem and is currently waiting their reply. At this time or until the dropping of the calls problem is resolved, I would not recommend their purchase.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good product, if you read the instructions Comment: We have owned this unit for 8 months and it works well. Often have to manually re-engage the bluetooth connection, but works well.
