Oops!! it quit playing about halfway through. Tested on a stand alone DVD player same thing. Dispointed... Customer Rating: Summary: Interesting premise, but relies upon special effects. Comment: This could have been a much better film - and should have been. The premise itself is facinating considering the overwhelming influence of technology in our lives. The direction was poor and I must once again lament the obvious lack of talent posessed by Will Smith. Why does Hollywood insist on casting celebrities instead of actors? Oh well, If special effects are the determining factor in your movie choices, this will fit the bill. Only...wait a while until its price more closely matches Mr. Smith's value as an actor. I will say that I bought this movie because I read several reviews on home-theater sites that rated this movie 98 out ot 100 for video quality, which is what I wanted in a Blu-Ray disc. "I, Robot" did not fail to live up to my expectations. This movie was visually stunning. Great audio too. The audio during action scenes was properly mixed, with good tight bass and crisp sound effects. If you want to watch a reference quality Blu-Ray movie, then buy this movie.
