Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Junk the cable, use the connector Comment: I bought the PowerJot for my iPhone 3G because reviewers praised its uniqueness: a fuse in its base to address power surges (and thus give the PowerJolt longer life). The cable that I received from Griffin (both the original and the one I got on return-for-replacement) was so tight at the iPhone end that I had to shove to get it in and wrestle to get it out. My workaround: use Apple's own designed-for-iPhone USB connector cable and junk the cheapie that Griffin sends with the PowerJolt ($19.95 more... but I have a reliable car-charger now and am not risking damage to my iPhone).
