Editorial Reviews:

Tea Tree oil is a very powerful immune stimulant, helping to fight infections and promote clear skin. Its scent is described as fresh, warm, spicy, medicinal and pungent. Tea Tree Oil is a natural antiseptic, bactericide, fungicide and anti-viral with anesthetic qualities. Unlike most other antiseptic preparations, Tea Tree Oil can be used daily without causing an imbalance in the natural bacterial flora on the skin. It has been used by the Australian Aborigines since the beginning of time for acne, oily skin, rashes, various infections, fungal diseases, dandruff, and itchy scalp. In World War II Tea Tree oil was issued to each soldier and sailor as part of their field kit to treat tropical infections and infected wounds. A must have for your first aid kit!

Customer Rating: Summary: wonderul product Comment: There are so many uses for this product, do the research and see for yourself! The price is great for this product as well.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works on blemishes and mosquito bites Comment: Just a dab on facial blemishes and bites and irritation is gone. Reduces inflammation/redness. Was surprised at effectiveness. Note: smells a bit like "Vicks", which I don't mind, but might bother some.
Customer Rating: Summary: It'll cure what ails ya! Comment: Strong smell, but powerful medicine. It'll cure what ails you. Rub a little on sores, infections, irritated skin and watch the problems disappear. Smell reminds me a little of Vicks Vap-o-Rub.
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome Product Comment: This product is awesome. It really helped my acne break out. Use at night before bed and wake up to a refreshed face.
Customer Rating: Summary: Australia Has Healing Auras In Trees Comment: My husband has worked in coal mines for 20 years, and often makes use of communal showers at the end of a shift. Athlete's foot is a common problem in those conditions. He's tried various treatments on the market and says even the strongest of them seem to take forever to work. When I gave him a bottle of essential oil of tea tree once, he applied a few drops onto fungus on a toe nail. His face brightened and he said he felt it instantly absorb into the tissue under and around the nail and dissolve the fungus. After a few applications of tea tree, sometimes only after one application, it is no longer needed as the invasion is history.
And the other amazing thing about tea tree and other of the many essential oils of herbs which are antifungal is that they are also antibacterial and antiviral. Synthesized medications are only able to work on one of these types of invasions and are often an invitation to the other types, and thus have to be used very cautiously to avoid a bad situation of intense chemical imbalance in the body.
See my Listmania on Essential Oils, which gives indications/dates of other reviews I've posted, along with short blurbs on each oil I've used.
In this Listmania on EO's I've included a variety of brands and oils so that it will be possible to pick those which are easily available on Amazon.com, from manufacturers' web sites, or in local outlets. Manufacturers of oils are reported to vary somewhat in dedication to good growing, harvesting, extraction processes, and they also vary greatly in price and detail of web site information offered. I like to keep a browser open on Amazon's buying page for a particular oil, and to also open a browser for the web site of the brand I'm studying in various oils. That way I can enhance the sometimes limited detail the vender has posted on Amazon's page.
Please keep in mind that I am NOT a medical doctor.
My conclusions and opinions stated in my Listmanias and Reviews are my evaluations based on personal experience. As with everyone (including the most revered M.D.'s) my judgments of cause and effect are sometimes correct, sometimes incorrect. "Jumping-to-conclusions" happens regularly in human thinking/intuiting processes, even within the purest intentions and most diligent following of rules of The Scientific Method. To remain in an honest journey toward Truth, use of reasoning and intuitive processes in making judgments and choices should be continually updated, on individual bases, as new insights and information are received.
Adhering to my philosophy of living a healthy life, I:
- Drink the right amount of water for me, and ingest enough salt and fats to allow the water to be used properly. (I wrote about this in my blog on AOL)
- Savor the culinary flavors of foods I eat, choosing when possible flavors & textures which appeal at the time of eating. For me ingesting what tastes good to me, at quantities no more or less than I want while eating in a sane, comfortable pace, is the very, very best "medicine" available. This is one of the reasons I read and review many culinary mystery series.
- Listen to my spirit. That is a learned art, not based on any religious principals I've read or been fed. For more info on how I taught myself to do that, read some of my reviews on novels posted here. For best in-depth info on this read my 8 finished and 8 in progress manuscripts when they're published into book form (with gorgeous cover art), which will happen when I connect with the agent and publishing house matched to the style, content, and value of my novels and nonfiction mss.
See my customer reviews on Lavender, 9/16/05, for more info on the wholeness potency of essential oils.
