This is a single weave, BLUE gi for Judo, Jiu-Jitsu and Aikido. This gi has a traditional "rice-grain" weave for the top and reinforced (quilted) knees for durability. It was specifically designed to withstand grappling during training and competition. Seams are reinforced - especially in the shoulders, lapel and sleeves - to ensure quality and durability.
It is made of 100% cotton and includes pants with an elastic waist and a white belt of matching size. While this is an excellent gi for the money, it is intended for beginning or intermediate students. We offer much heavier gi's for more advanced students.
These uniforms DO RUN SMALL compared to "standard sizes". PLEASE be sure to check our size charts before you order. While we're happy to make an exchange if you end up with one that doesn't fit, we'd rather save you the hassle of doing a return.

Customer Rating: Summary: Great Service, Great Product Comment: I received my gi very quickly, and it came with easy step-by-step instructions for color fixing, and caring for my uniform. A little over a month later, the gi has held up very well to the rigors of 4-times-a-week BJJ class. The only complaint I have is that even with air drying, the sleeves on my jacket have shortened some. Though, after a few rolls and yanks on the cuffs, they lengthen up a bit. Great product, and I would definitely recommend this to beginners who want a quality gi, but don't want to fork out a lot of money initially. Thanks Piranha Gear. (I did later read some other reviews, and saw that other people had similar problems. )HOWEVER...when I contacted them, I got a call back from the owner of the company himself. To make a long story short...a replacement is on the way. I cannot praise enough the level of customer service I received. They really went the extra mile.
In short...I know that problems arise...but it is how people deal with them that makes the difference. I was so pleased, that I plan to order more stuff from them again soon.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Gi/Great Price! Cold Water Shrinkage! Comment: The Gi arrived very fast and in perfect condition. The price was great at around $65 shipped. I followed the instructions and have only washed it in cold water and I have never dried it in a dryer (only hang dry) and it shrank about 2 inches at the wrist and ankle which I think looks funny but my insturctor said it's fine. I am happy with my Gi and will probably be buying a 2nd one soon for competition but I will probably be buying a size bigger and try to shrink it.
The size I purchased is a Large (5/180) and I am 6'1, 185lbs.
My only complaint (not really a complaint) was that it comes as 'Shockwave Fight Gear' on the logo and not 'Piranha Gear' nothing wrong with that at all I just couldn't make this out in the photo.

So when I found this one I decided to give it a try. Well wouldn't know it good old US post office either lost the item or left it with some one who decided to keep it because when I checked the tracking number on the postal website it was listed as delivered. So after calling the post office (who's employees were as helpful as a blind seeing eye dog) I contacted Bob at Piranha Gear. He was very helpful and even sent out a replacement gi the same day (with a signature required). I love the gi, the color holds up well and it looks very nice!!
