Customer Rating: Summary: 2GB SODIMM Comment: I bought this memory module at the same time as I bought a Eee notebook computer. I performed the 1GB memory replacement with the 2GB SODIMM easily.
The most confusing part was getting the computer and operating system to recognize the presence of the additional memory. It required a boot into the BIOS to let the hardware recognize and update plug and play info.
On the Eee computer, using F2 on a cold restart did the job. No manual changes were made to the BIOS. The process was automatic. A simple save and exit following the bootup did the job.
Customer Rating: Summary: Does not work with the new Eee 901 Sakura Red Comment: Just making this review for those who have purchased the new Sakura Red or green Asus Eee 901's. They have a different pinn set. I do not know what memory works with it yet, but every site says it fits, but the pins are clearly on the short side of the memory card, not on the long side as this product.
Fits my mothers Dell mini great, works great.
Customer Rating: Summary: AWEOMSE!!! VERY HAPPY now with my EEE 900 Comment: I have an Asus EEE 900 with 4gb internal HD i couldnt find my model at amazon, so i was worried if this chip would work. I read the reviews here and took a chance and ordered this cheap little upgrade..
maaan im happy i did, my EEE 900 boots up SOOOOO much faster and runs programs much quicker,
i didnt have to adjust anythign in the bios or update my bios at all.
i went from 512 to 2000mb of ram =)
Customer Rating: Summary: Cheap and simple upgrade for an Eee 901 Comment: Not much to say - flawless 2GB of RAM suitable for an EeePC 901. Just open a flap underneath (2 screws), tease apart the grips on either side of the old SoDIMM & it pops up at an angle for removal. Insert the new one, lower until it clicks, put the lid back on, power up, there's your 2GB of RAM (NB earlier versions of Linux Eees can only see 1GB of RAM, but installing the latest BIOS upgrades extends the limit).
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy upgrade Comment: I definitely wanted to upgrade my EEE 1000H from 1GB to 2GB. Replacing the 1GB stick wasn't particularly difficult, but I did experience the same problem that most reviewers here did after installing the 2GB stick. Namely, that the BIOS had to be updated before the new memory was recognized. Fortunately, after reading the reviews here, I figured out how to do it and now the memory has been recognized. Hooray.
