Customer Rating: Summary: battery life Comment: I really like the system however I find I can't get more than a 2 or 3 hours talk time on the battery before it needs to go back onto the charger. I was talking to a friend the other night having been using the phone several times during the day and was surprised to find the indicator of a low battery. I probably only had used the phone for talking about 2 1/2 hrs. I talked to customer service and was told the charging system for the phone wasn't working correctly and I should send it in. This was within a couple days after receiving this system. I did not want to send it back! I then bought a phone to expand, a stand alone with just a charger. I have the same problem with that one. The batteries just don't hold a charge as long as my previous phone, a Uniden.
Customer Rating: Summary: iPhone issues Comment: We had been using the phone with my Razrs and it worked well. It Almost seemed to improve recption. When we switched to the iPhone, it no longer worked well. It will connect intermittently with the base station. It will be paired successfully but won't connect. I have to unpair both iPhones and re-pair the with the base station for them to connect. I have to do this every time I come home, which is not feasable. Maybe missing something, maybe there is something different about the iPhones than there was with the Razrs.
Customer Rating: Summary: I was nervous. I am pleased. Comment: The complaints about this product made me nervous about ordering it, but the competing products were either much more expensive, or received even worse reviews, so I decided to try it.
The phone works. The extra handset I ordered was no trouble to connect, and it was easy to rename the handsets to help see where they are located. The phone may not be fully duplex, but I've found that I can still hear when talk is going on at my end.
The BlueTooth feature was one that I really wanted, and it was initially frustrating. I have found that I need to manually disconnect the audio device if I want to be able to pick it up again later. If I just allow my cell phone to go out of range I need to reset the phone (turn it off, then on) in order to use it properly again. In my mind, this is a minor inconvenience. I can make and receive calls on both cell and land-line, and although I haven't tried it, the setup suggests that both can be employed simultaneously (with different handsets). My cell is a Motorola Razr V3xx, so your mileage may vary.
I haven't read the manual, as all of the setup I've done has been straightforward. The answering machine works well, and it's nice to be able to get and delete messages from the handset. Getting messages by dialing in also works well. The speakerphone feature of the handset also works surprisingly well, given the size of the thing. We don't subscribe to caller ID, but it does get the caller ID from cell calls.
All in all, not a perfect product, but a good one, and one I don't regret buying.
Customer Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT!!!! Comment: Thank you! The system is fabulous. And, what a great price ~ plus no sales tax! It was 61% of the listed price and I did not have to pay tax. I should have purchased the system years ago. Thank you very much!
Customer Rating: Summary: The BEST Home phone ever!!! Comment: This phone is awesome. it allows you to have your home line and 2 active bluetooth connections all at the same time. At my home we have 2 cell phones however we have bad cell signal anywhere in the house. so what we do is place the cell phones with the best signal and then connect them to the EP5632. So you can make and recieve calls on all three lines (The Land Line and the 2 Cells). Also you can use a bluetooth headset just like you do with your cell phone. So if you want to you can just walk around the house with just the headset on your ear. This also would work great for businesses because you can use the base to dial the number and then just answer and end calls on the bluetooth headset. Anyway if you have any questions just contact me.
