Editorial Reviews:

A busy day of phone calls requires reliable technology. Looking good requires a distinctive design to match your sense of style. Get both with the PV710. Easy to put on, easy on the eye. Worn on the ear or round the neck, rich colors and silver combine to set off your outfit. The Bluetooth Headset HBH-PV710 has leading talk and standby times of up to 12 and 300 hours respectively, and is designed with eye-catching, rich colors. It is easy to put on and easy on the eye, with swiveling ear hook and silver body with glittering brown or red covers. Between calls it can hang on a supplied neck strap, slipping onto the ear easily when needed, and Sony Ericsson's classic pen-shaped form brings the microphone closer to the mouth for superior voice clarity.

Customer Rating: Summary: Smaller but worse hearing quality Comment: OK, I had HBH-660 for about three years. The device was great on all aspects but the battery life. Right now it is as good as dead. I can barely talk more than 30 min on it. So, I decided to go for same brand since I do have Sony Ericcson P910 phone.
I bought this HBH-PV710 thinking that it it an upgrade. Well The battery life indeed is an upgrage. It last longer than I thought it would. The downside of this piece of device is that the sound quality is horrible. A lot of white noise and what not. Also, if you go a distance higher than, I would say, 4 feet from the phone...good luck to you.
The design is slick and headset sits well on the ear. The hanger is not made of silicon but rubber but it is not soft. After about 1 h holding on the ear I felt pain in my ear lobe. True my ears are very, I would say flat, close to the head...so it might be my problem.
The device doesn't show the battery life of who's calling you as compared with HBH-660, which for me is minor since instinctively i am looking at my phone to see who's calling.
The company advertise on their website that the device works at 10ft. Well in my case it is simply not true. You have to be on the line of sight with your phone no further than 5 feet or otherwise you are loosing clear communication.
I do not recomment this device at all.
Customer Rating: Summary: Some improvements, some regressions Comment: I migrated to the HBH-PV710 headset from the HBH-PV610. The improvements are the smaller size, the lighter weight, and much more sturdy ear loop. The ear loop on my 610 kept breaking at the curved joint. Sound quality also sounds better to those I am speaking with on the phone. The regressions of the 710 from the 610 include much shorter range (about 5' before I hear crackling!) and slightly worse audio quality for the user of the headset.
