Summary: Do NOT give these to your child
Comment: I have the Benadryl Quick Dissolve Strips in Children's dosage with the Vanilla Mint flavor. I received permission from my pediatrician to give one child's dose to my daughter if she appeared to show no sign of calming down during our 14 hour trans-Atlantic flight. So, I bought these quick dissolve strips thinking that they would solve so many problems: they're small and a cinch to throw into my purse, the carrying case makes it easy for travel, they don't violate the no liquid on airplanes rule, and it would be easy to get my 2 year old to take the whole dose right? Well, my daughter freaked out both times I gave her one of these. I figured that she was already over-tired and overwhelmed from the whole flying experience anyways.
It wasn't until months later that I was suffering a bout of insomnia that I decided I needed something to help me sleep. No wine around, so I figured I'll just take some Benadryl. No adult dose around, so I took my daughter's. (Actually, I just took it 6 minutes ago. I was so angered by the product that I'm sitting down and writing a review immediately.)
YUCK!!!!! I don't know who the moron is who actually let this flavor get sold to the public. And I think the idiot who thought it was a good idea to sell it as a CHILD'S product should be shot. The mint was so strong, it burned my tongue. And for some reason, MY MOUTH IS NUMB!!! What the heck is wrong with this stuff?!?! No wonder my daughter was in tears! I don't care if it's the child's dose or the adult dose, this product should be recalled and not sold to anyone. There is something seriously wrong with an allergy medicine that makes your tongue go numb. I have tasted my daughter's medicine strips in the past (namely her Triaminic Strips for Cold & Cough in Berry Flavor) and they have tasted delicious and they have not caused any adverse reaction, so I have no idea why the Benadryl should be so awful. They have no excuse!

Summary: These Things Are Awesome!
Comment: I love these quick-dissolve strips. I always have one or two in my purse, by the bedside, anywhere I might need one handy- and when I give one to someone, they immediately want to know where to get them. They travel perfectly in a wallet, nice and thin right in with the credit cards. They work great, just like any tablet would, only faster. For me, faster is very helpful, especially when faced with a sting or an allergic reaction. I also use them to help me sleep on rare occasion, as the ingredient is the same as in many over-the-counter sleep aids. I have read someone didn't like the taste. I think there may be two flavors; either way, I like them fine. They dissolve so quickly, I can't imagine what the big deal is. The slight numbing isn't unpleasant at all, and also goes away quickly. I can't live without these.

Comment: If you're desperate to dose a recalcitrant child (I have an autistic daughter) then these strips are a life-saver. They're melted and swallowed very quickly and usually before they have a chance to spit them out.

Comment: Ugh, these are awful. They work for your allergies, but the taste is just indescribably disgusting. It also makes your tongue numb. I recommend sticking with the pills.
