Customer Rating: Summary: This skeptic is convinced! Comment: Like night and day! I have suffered from horrible achilles tendonitis for YEARS, and this is the first product that actually provided relief. As a large but extremely active lady (dance classes and martial arts six days a week!), I was fed up with being told by various doctors that maybe I was just "too heavy for those types of activities." Upon first examination of this product, I thought it looked kind of cheap, but figured that for the price I could afford to take a chance. Thank goodness I did! As for the quality, I've been wearing them six times per week for the last 6 months and washing them (by hand) twice weekly, and they are still going strong! I am once more tapping, leaping, and kicking up a storm. I wear them barefoot for Tae Kwon Do (they stay in place wonderfully), and with my shoes for dance. I would definitely recommend giving this product a try. Customer Rating: Summary: It works! Comment: I have a tight Achilles tendon, which I'm slowly improving with stretching. However, for years I have not been able to walk for longer than half an hour without excruciating pain in the back of my left calf. I just tried this support out tonight, and did an hour of brisk walking on the treadmill with barely a twinge. It's very comfortable and fits easily in my athletic shoe. Highly recommended! Customer Rating: Summary: Velcro straps aren't strong enough Comment: Title speaks for itself. The velcro on the straps wouldn't hold up after a few weeks of wear. So if you plan to wear this regularly for plantar fasciitis then plan on buying a lot of them if you experience what I did. Customer Rating: Summary: I've had Amazing Results with this Comment: I suffered for most of this year with sore Achilles tendons, sometimes so bad I couldn't walk properly. I am into martial arts and it became very depressing, having to choose between not training at all and worsening performance when I did. After getting a pair of these tendon straps on Saturday morning I put them on and went to my usual class - I had been leaning towards giving it a miss as my tendons were very stiff and sore at the time. The straps were quite uncomfortable to start with, but after the class the pain had eased a lot. I went for a long walk that afternoon, and by Sunday morning the pain had all but disappeared. One week on I'm totally free of any pain in my tendons, and starting to resume things like skipping and jumping kicks which I used to cringe at the thought of! I can only say the results have been miraculous, and if you suffer from Achilles tendinitis you should definitely give these a try.
