A whisper-quiet but powerful fan pulls viruses into the germ-killing chamber where the germ-laden air is bombarded with ultraviolet-C light and 99.9% of viruses, bacteria and mold spores are destroyed. Then the sanitizer circulates clean air back into the room. This unit is great for stopping the spread of airborne germs and kills odors. Great for small spaces such as bathrooms and bedrooms.

Our larger bathroom always smells fresh now. (I don't think the ceiling vent is doing its job.) The other unit is in the 10 x11 kitchen. I have noticed that cooking odors are no longer reeking through the apartment and store-bought air fresheners are a thing of the past. I'm a Happy Camper! The description says "whisper quiet" but it sounds like you have a floor fan in the room. We decided to put it in our bedroom, but it was too loud so we put it in the master bath (even then I could hear it). I guess I'm used to the Air-O-Swiss ultrasonic humidifier which made NO NOISE whatsoever, and we also place the humidifier in the master bath which is adjacent to our bedroom. My initial skepticism quickly disappeared as it has effectively controlled persistent odors in both a small bathroom and the adjoining bedroom, which is larger than the product's stated capacity.
