Summary: Push the button, it simply works.
Comment: Assembly for this item consists of attaching the visor clip, if desired (two seconds). To sync it to your existing garage door opener system you push the purple button on the motor unit, push the button on the remote and hear two clicks (four seconds, more if you have to get something to stand on). That's it. The product "learns" the rolling codes automatically. After that, when you push the button on the remote, your garage door goes up or down until the battery runs out, which have lasted over six years for me now. I bought more because we added more cars to our family.
