Customer Rating: Summary: Unfortunate fit--er, foot. Comment: I've searched in vain to replace my perfect hiking boots, a pair of Salomons I got at a garage sale for $2. I had hopes for these beautiful leather Timberland Euro hikers--the fourth pair of boots in this search. I tried them at home and thought they would be fine. But I have long second and third toes, and because of the length of the vamp the shoes break in the wrong place. By the time I finished my fourth hike I had corns on my little toes which are too far back for the shape of the shoes, and I had to limp back to the car because I had an unrelenting cramp in the metatarsal. Now I'm terrified when I look at the boots, and I have a hike scheduled for tomorrow! It's the fault of my toes, not the shoes, but I'm very sad.
