Summary: Works fine for us
Comment: I had 2 of these heaters already but our gas furnace went out and I got a couple more while taking care of the main heat.
The thermostats worked well, they are quiet, and they heat a room nicely.
Electric bill went up some but I wasn't burning any propane during that time so maybe it offset.
Nice little heaters. Too bad they don't make that particular model any more.

Summary: Holmes heater
Comment: This has been a nice space heater to use. It has manual low, manual high, and thermostat temp auto settings,. This is the quietest heater I've ever had. It doesn't put out tremendous heat but it works alright. I own two different Holmes heaters, and I like both.

Summary: Quiet and warm
Comment: I was looking for something to warm a large bedroom without too much noise. This performs perfectly. Warm and quiet. The thermostat was a bonus. Given reviews, I didn't expect it to function very well but it does.

Comment: Let me tell you the sequence of events for me with this heater. 1) I opened the box. 2) I plugged in the heater. 3) I turned the heater on. 4) It immediately switched off and never turned back on. What an absolute waste of time and money, this is horrible. Don't buy this product because it has an automatic switch off that you can't turn off. The thermostat thing is wrong and you can't fix it or override it.

Summary: I have two and one is not working as well
Comment: I have two that got about 3 or 4 years ago. I have one in my office and I use it all day (every day of the week) and works great. The other one is at home and about a month after i got it, the button stayed in an odd position, however it worked just fine but now the sensor is not working and it turns off or it thinks you are pressing on it so just changes temperatures. It is odd. Any way the one at work I just love the one at home I hate. So I guess I am 50/50 on this product.
