Comment: The Christian Century is a venerable institution in ecumenically-minded American Protestantism. The Century reviews a wide variety of books, offers commentary on public affairs, and keeps the Christian aware of the wider Church.The Christian Century is a more progressive alternative to Christianity Today and the traditionalist approach the latter publication advocates. It reassures the reader long-wearied by the sectarianism of the right with the Century's ecumenically attentive content.
