It is indeed easy to assemble, it took me all of 10 minutes. It holds a lot of trash but does not look excessively bulky. I use 33 gallon sized bags for this trash can. One reviewer said that they have a hard time getting the bag out, this is not a problem for us at all. The lid locks which I really like and while it does not claim to minimize odor, I never smell the trash as long as the lid is down. One of my favorite purchases from Amazon.
