In this movie based on the life of Russel Simmons, hot young record producer/manager Russel Walker has all the hottest acts on the record label Krush Groove records. The acts include Run-DMC, Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Kurtis Blow. When Run-DMC has a hit record and Russel doesn't have the money to press records he borrows money from a drug dealer/loan shark. At the same time Russel and Run are both competing for the heart of Sheila E.

Summary: old school krush
Comment: I saw this movie in june 08 on TVone; I hadn't seen this movie since it came out back in the 80's. I love watching Ron's house, LL cool J and all the old school rappers in the movie are still doing their thing today. Fresh, Clean, Understandable Rap with meaning and a purpose. Rap back then made you want to do better not like SOME of the Rap Music today which can make you want to have sex, kill somebody, or promote hate, if you can understand the lyrics at all.

IT GIVES YOU LL COOL J, THE FAT BOYS, RUN DMC, NEW EDITION AND MORE DURING THEIR EARLY YEARS. THE LOVE SCENE BETWEEN BLAIR UNDERWOOD (RUSSELL) AND SHEILA E WITH "TENDER LOVE" BY THE FORCE MDS IN THE BACKGROUND IS STILL HOT.
