I use about 2-3 gallons a day and its a pleasure to use after using the Brita Water pitcher system. This unit is smaller than the other faucet filters and is metal not plastic and really easy to install. I like the auto shutoff feature so I dont run hot water through it by accident. I have an undersink 150.00 unit in my home in NJ and it doesnt work as well as this unit. I would suggest you turn faucet on only half way for better results. Customer Rating: Summary: Great for Apartment Comment: Honestly it did take a couple of days for me to get used to the taste (I had been purchasing large water jugs) but it's not a bad taste, just not bottled water. Very easy to install and very easy to replace. I bought it b/c others mentioned the "default" is "no filter" so it makes it really easy when washing dishes. I live in an apartment and this was the perfect, temporary, inexpensive fix. I will say Amazon is one of the only places I can find the filter replacements, so stock up if you can.
