Summary: I've had mine for 24+ years
Comment: To be honest I don't remember when I bought mine, but the fact that it carries the Rockwell name might give you some indication.
I've never tried the Bosch so I can't give a comparison. I do like the fact that the Bosch is lighter and the case more compact. The older I get the more I like lighter and compact.
In all the years I've used the templates I've only had to replace 2 items-
1 spring-loaded nail and one of the adjustable hinge leaves. I replaced the leaf because the hole for the 1 3/8's door size retractable pin stripped.
The set is heavy and cumbersome.
I've never had the problem I saw mentioned in another post. The templates,for me, have always stayed in alignment. When doing new doors, it would be pretty hard to knock out of alignment, because the rails have indentations for the tightening screws at the popular door/hinge sizes. When matching existing hinges you may, or may not, hit those indentations. But, even then I've never had a problem.
I would absolutely, positively pull this out for 1 door.

Comment: The first time through is slow until you understand the principle of the jig. Then it goes quickly the second time. The jig works very well, especially for "non-standard" conditions. If you have many doors to hang, I would highly recommend this product. It has saved me hours of time without frustration.

Comment: the instructions are shaky on this thing as noted by others, one thing not pointed out is it comes with a large bearing that will only fit the base of a porter cable router. so, unless you want to buy some adapters from your router's manufacturer, have a porter cable router to use with it.
that said, with a porter cable router it works as advertised, no complaints with it.

Comment: This tool took me about 2 1/2 hours to understand and was well worth the time. My first door was retro-fitted into an existing frame. The door hinges matched perfect to the frame hinges. I will make good use of this tool. By the way shipping was Amazonly fast, pun intended.
