THE CUSTOMS TARIFF ACT
Regulations made by the Minister under section 11
of the Customs Tariff Act

1.         These regulations may be cited as the Customs Tariff (Southern African Development Community) (Amendment of Schedule)             Regulations 2006

2.         In these regulations­

“principal regulations” means the Customs Tariff (Southern African Development Community) Regulations 2001;

“item” includes the entries corresponding to the item.

3.         The Second Schedule to the principal regulations is amended -

(a)        by deleting the items specified in PART A of the Schedule to these regulations; and

(b)        by inserting in the appropriate numerical place the items specified in PART B of the Schedule to these regulations.

4.         These regulations shall come into operation on 10 June 2006.

I move that the Appropriation Bill 2006/07 be read a second time.

2.                  I bring before the House the 2006/07 Budget at a critical time for our country.  However, if we embrace timely and bold reforms, we can transform challenges into opportunities.  Now is the time for us to seize the occasion.
